Half Gram vs 1 Gram Pre-Roll

A 1 gram pre-roll holds twice the flower of a half gram roll. That is the whole difference in the flower. What changes is the package: one roll, or a pack of small rolls.

Packs and the label

A flower package must show one batch number that identifies the batch it came from(CMR label rule).

So the rolls in a pack share a batch number, and the weight on the label is their combined weight. A pack of two half-gram rolls and a single 1 gram roll both read 1 gram.

Opening and resealing

To the extent it is not unreasonably impracticable for the specific type of product, marijuana products must be packaged in opaque, plain containers that are resealable for any product intended for more than a single use or containing multiple servings(CMR label rule).

A pack of small rolls fits that description: you take one out and close the package on the others. A single 1 gram roll is one roll, so once it is out of its tube the tube is only a case. Either way, keep a roll you are not using yet in its sealed package. That is our handling advice, not a tested result.

How to decide

Read the net weight first. A pack can be 1 gram or 1.5 grams, and the front of the package may not say.
If you want one roll in one package, a single 1 gram roll is the simpler format.
If you want several rolls in one package that reseals, a pack of small rolls is that format.
