In Massachusetts, craft means two different things. One is a licence type written into the state rules. The other is a description, and a description is only worth the records behind it.

Craft is a description. The cooperative is a licence.
Massachusetts rules define a Craft Marijuana Cooperative as a Marijuana Cultivator made up of residents of the Commonwealth and organized as a limited liability company, limited liability partnership, or cooperative corporation. Its members must have lived in Massachusetts for the 12 months before it applies, and it is limited to one licence and a total of 100,000 square feet of canopy.
Advanced Cultivators is not a Craft Marijuana Cooperative. AC holds a Marijuana Cultivator licence, MC283314. When this site says craft, it means the description, and the description has to be something you can check.
Lab testing is not the difference either. Flower sold for adult use in Massachusetts has to be tested by an independent testing laboratory and meet the state standards. Every licensed brand is lab tested. What varies is how the flower is grown, trimmed and cured, and whether the lab report is published where you can read it.

Four records to ask for
Craft is easy to say. These four things are records a grower either has or does not.
Canopy tier
Massachusetts sorts cultivator licences into 11 tiers by canopy, from Tier 1 (up to 5,000 square feet) to Tier 11 (90,001 to 100,000). A grower can tell you its licence number and tier, and the Cannabis Control Commission publishes licence data to check them against.
Trim
Hand trimming or machine trimming is a process choice. Ask which one, and whether it is every harvest or some of them.
Cure
How long flower cures after drying is a number. A grower who tracks it can give it to you in days.
The COA for the jar
Ask for the certificate of analysis that matches the batch on the jar. Read the contaminant rows, the harvest and test dates, and the sanitization and remediation lines where the lab prints them.
None of these makes a claim about how flower will feel. Together they tell you how it was made, from records instead of adjectives.
