Dispensaries on US Route 1 North of Boston

Four shops on the Cannabis Control Commission's Where to Buy list sit on US Route 1 north of Boston: one in Saugus, one in Melrose and two in Rowley. Two of them hold an active medical license in the Commission's license file: Garden Remedies in Melrose and Fine Fettle in Rowley. Advanced Dispensary, Peabody (in renovation), is being built at 25 Newbury Street on the same road, between the Saugus shop and the two in Rowley, for registered medical patients and caregivers; it cannot serve patients yet.

These are the four rows whose street address names the road. A shop can sit a block off Route 1 and be just as easy to reach, and the town guides list those; this page counts only the ones on the road itself.

Going north from Boston

A driver coming up US 1 passes Saugus first, where the tracker, read November 4, 2026, gives adult-use "Ban in place", then Lynnfield ("Ban in place") and Peabody ("Ban in place"). The store is at 25 Newbury Street, which is US 1 as it runs through Peabody. From Saugus Town Hall the drive is about 9 minutes, and from Lynnfield Town Hall about 7.

Peabody is listed as "Ban in place" on the zoning tracker(CCC Zoning Tracker).

Going south or north of Peabody

North of Peabody the next shops on Route 1 are the two in Rowley, about 29 minutes from Peabody by car. Fine Fettle at 116 Newburyport Turnpike is the one with a medical entry. South of Peabody the Saugus shop and the Melrose business are the two on the road, and the Melrose one is the nearest medical dispensary on Route 1 to a patient coming from Boston.

The Peabody site on Route 1

25 Newbury Street is on US 1 as it runs north through Peabody, where the road is named Newbury Street. Advanced Dispensary is in renovation and cannot serve patients yet; the drive times in the town guides are free flow and are there so you can place the site, not to plan a trip.
