Rowley has two shops on the Cannabis Control Commission's Where to Buy list, both on Newburyport Turnpike, which is US Route 1, and one of them, Fine Fettle, holds a medical license along with adult-use. A Rowley patient has a medical shop in town and a drive of about 29 minutes south to Peabody on the same road.
| Shop (as the Commission lists it) | Address | License type on the list |
|---|---|---|
| Cape Ann Cannabis | 300 Newburyport Tpke, Unit 1, Rowley, MA 01969 | Adult-use |
| Fine Fettle | 116 Newburyport Tpke, Rowley, MA 01969 | Medical and adult-use |
Fine Fettle is the Medical and Adult-use entry; Cape Ann Cannabis is adult-use. The Commission's open license file, updated October 22, 2026, shows three active Marijuana Retailer licenses in Rowley with operations started, one more than the sheet. Read again on November 1, 2026, the row-level data gives license MR281571 at 116 Newburyport Turnpike (started June 12, 2020), MR282588 at 300 Newburyport Turnpike, Unit 1 (started June 12, 2020) and MR283689 at 264 Newburyport Turnpike (started July 6, 2022). The third is the one the sheet does not list. It is a license on record at 264 Newburyport Turnpike; whether it sells to the public today is not something either record says. The file also shows one Medical Marijuana Treatment Center, at 116 Newburyport Turnpike, which matches the Fine Fettle row. The sheet has no date, so check a shop with the shop.
Closest to Rowley Town Hall, by straight line and not by road: Mission Georgetown (Georgetown). Each is on AC's partner list as of October 31, 2026 and had an AC order within the 90 days before this page was built. Menus change, so check before you go.
| Shop | Town | Distance | License | AC listed |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Mission Georgetown | Georgetown | about 4.2 miles | MR281754 | Flower, prerolls, concentrates |
The Municipal Zoning Tracker, read October 31, 2026, gives Rowley adult-use "Zoning in place", delivery "Delivery permitted" and social consumption "No zoning in place". No cap is noted.
Georgetown and Newbury, its neighbors, read the same, while Ipswich reads "Zoning in place; retail ban" and Topsfield reads "Ban in place". The tracker calls itself a general guide and gives no bylaw text, so the Rowley town clerk is the source for what a street or a business may do.
The Census Bureau estimated 6,334 residents in Rowley on July 1, 2024 (an estimate, not the 2020 count). It covers 18.2 square miles of land and 2.2 of water.
The MBTA lists a Rowley station on the Newburyport/Rockport Line. The state lists the Georgetown-Rowley State Forest, which covers more than 1,000 acres, with parking off Pingree Farm Road.
The medical card process is the same everywhere in Massachusetts: a certifying provider, a PIN by email, then registration with the Commission, which charges nothing.
From Rowley Town Hall on Main Street to 25 Newbury Street the router gives about 17 miles and about 29 minutes by car in light traffic. Leave on Main Street (Route 1A) to Route 133, join US 1 south at Newburyport Turnpike and follow US 1 through Topsfield and Danvers, where it becomes Boston Street and then Newbury Street in Peabody.
Both Rowley shops sit on that same road, so a Rowley patient drives the whole way on it. US 1 backs up through Topsfield and Danvers at rush hour. Advanced Dispensary will serve registered medical patients and caregivers only.
The Commission lists Fine Fettle at 116 Newburyport Turnpike as Medical and Adult-use.
Newburyport Turnpike, which is US Route 1.
Advanced Cultivators (AC) grows in Lowell, Massachusetts, under cultivation license MC283314. Advanced Dispensary, its medical dispensary at 25 Newbury Street on US Route 1, is being renovated for registered patients and caregivers. Rowley patients already drive US 1, which is the road the store is on. No opening date has been announced; the patient list on the Peabody page hears first.

The shop list was copied on October 23, 2026; the zoning tracker, license counts and drive times were read on October 31, 2026; the population, area, station and park facts were read on November 1, 2026. The Commission publishes the shop list and the tracker without an updated date and says to confirm details with the town.
Shop names, addresses and tracker entries are copied from public records. This page does not rank shops, give medical or legal advice, or make any claim about health.
