Marblehead has no licensed cannabis shop on the Cannabis Control Commission's Where to Buy list. The Commission's tracker does record adult-use zoning in the town, with a cap on retail licenses. Peabody is a longer trip from Marblehead than from any other town in these guides, about 21 minutes along the coast and Route 129. This page covers what the two lists say, the next towns that have listed shops, the card steps and the drive.
The Where to Buy sheet, retrieved October 23, 2026, has no row for Marblehead. Retail directories show a Marblehead business that the sheet does not carry, so this page does not list it: a shop's license type can only be stated from the Commission's own record. The list has no updated date, so confirm before you rely on it.
The Municipal Zoning Tracker, read October 23, 2026, reads adult-use "Zoning in place; retail license cap", delivery "Delivery permitted", and social consumption "No zoning in place". A retail license cap limits how many shops a town allows. The tracker does not give the number, and this page states none. The Marblehead town clerk or planning office has the current zoning and cap.
Down the coast, Swampscott has one entry on the Commission's list, and Salem has four. Lynn, beyond Swampscott, has the longest list in these guides.
A Marblehead resident goes through the same statewide process as anyone else:
The card guide has the accepted documents, the renewal rules and the caregiver steps.
From Abbot Hall on Washington Street to 25 Newbury Street is about 11 miles and about 21 minutes by car in light traffic. The road runs through Swampscott and Lynn on Route 129 and Route 1A, then along Lynnfield Street and Salem Street (both Route 129) to US 1 north. It stays on city streets until US 1, so the time moves with traffic more than the highway routes do.
AC Peabody will serve registered medical patients and caregivers only.
AC grows in Lowell, Massachusetts (cultivation license MC283314). Its medical dispensary, AC Peabody at 25 Newbury Street, is under renovation and no opening date has been announced. For a Marblehead patient it would be a drive of about twenty minutes. The patient list on the Peabody page is where the date will be posted first.
Read on October 23, 2026. The Commission publishes the shop list and the zoning tracker without an updated date and says to confirm details with the town.
