The Cannabis Control Commission's Where to Buy list has one Swampscott entry: Terpene Journey on Paradise Road, marked adult-use. AC's own partner list also shows a second shop in town, Local Cannabis Company on New Ocean Street, which the Commission's sheet does not carry. The town has adult-use zoning in place on the Commission's tracker. Peabody is about 15 minutes away through Lynn. This page gives the shops, the tracker entry, a Swampscott resident's steps to a medical card and the route.
| Shop (as the Commission lists it) | Address | License type on the list |
|---|---|---|
| Terpene Journey | 430 Paradise Rd, Swampscott, MA 01907 | Adult-use |
The sheet gives the shop the priority status "Social Equity Program Participant", a Commission licensing category. It is not marked medical. The Commission does not date the list, so check the shop's current status before you drive.
AC's partner list also shows Local Cannabis Company on New Ocean Street (license MR283842), which the Commission's sheet does not carry. Stock moves, so ask the shop what is on the shelf before you go.
For the Swampscott stores that stock AC, AC keeps its own partner page.
The two shops are at 430 Paradise Road and 16 New Ocean Street, both in the 01907 postcode. The Commission's sheet and AC's partner list are built separately, so they can differ. Where they do, the license number is the identifier to check with the shop.
The Municipal Zoning Tracker, read October 23, 2026, gives Swampscott adult-use "Zoning in place", delivery "Delivery permitted", and social consumption "No zoning in place". Unlike Marblehead next door, no license cap is noted. The tracker is a general guide; the Swampscott town clerk has the bylaw.
Here is the path for a Swampscott resident who wants to register as a medical patient:
The card guide covers renewals, caregivers and patients under 18.
From Swampscott Town Hall on Monument Avenue to 25 Newbury Street is about 7 miles and about 15 minutes by car in light traffic. Take Humphrey Street (Route 129) toward Lynn, then Lewis Street, Chestnut Street and Broadway (Route 129), and continue on Lynnfield Street and Salem Street to US 1 north. From Terpene Journey on Paradise Road it is about 8 miles and about 16 minutes.
AC Peabody will serve registered medical patients and caregivers only.
Advanced Cultivators grows in Lowell, Massachusetts, under license MC283314. AC Peabody, its medical dispensary at 25 Newbury Street on Route 1, is being renovated for registered patients and caregivers. No opening date has been announced. Swampscott readers can join the patient list on the Peabody page to get it first.
Read on October 23, 2026. The Commission publishes the shop list and the zoning tracker without an updated date and says to confirm details with the town.
Everything listed is taken from public records for Swampscott. It is not a ranking, not legal or medical advice, and not a statement about what marijuana does for a condition.
