Saugus and Peabody sit on the same road. US Route 1 runs through Saugus as Broadway and reaches Peabody as Newbury Street, so once you are on US 1 it is one road the whole way. From Town Hall the route starts on Main Street, and the shop at 181 Broadway is already on US 1. The Cannabis Control Commission's Where to Buy list has one Saugus entry, and the zoning tracker records something that does not obviously match it. This page sets both down as written.
| Shop (as the Commission lists it) | Address | License type on the list |
|---|---|---|
| Sanctuary Medicinals, Inc. | 181 Broadway, Saugus, MA 01906 | Adult-use |
The Commission marks the Saugus row adult-use. The same company name appears on the Commission's list for a medical dispensary in Danvers, which has its own guide. Confirm with the shop what it currently sells before you drive.
The Municipal Zoning Tracker, read October 23, 2026, gives Saugus adult-use "Ban in place", delivery "Delivery permitted", and social consumption "No zoning in place". A ban on the tracker and an adult-use row on the shop list do not sit easily together, and this page does not try to reconcile them. The tracker calls itself a general guide. Only the Saugus town clerk or the Commission can say how the two records fit, and nothing here says whether the shop may or may not operate.
Saugus residents register the way everyone in Massachusetts does:
Patients under 18 and caregivers have extra steps, which the card guide covers.
From Saugus Town Hall on Central Street to 25 Newbury Street is about 5 miles and about 9 minutes by car in light traffic: Main Street to the US 1 north ramp, then US 1 (Broadway) into Peabody, where it becomes Newbury Street. From the shop at 181 Broadway the trip is about 3 miles and about 7 minutes along the same road. US 1 is slower at rush hour.
The two stores would be a short drive apart. They are different kinds of store: AC Peabody will serve registered medical patients and caregivers only.
AC grows in Lowell, Massachusetts, under cultivation license MC283314, and is renovating a medical dispensary at 25 Newbury Street, AC Peabody, on the same US Route 1 that runs through Saugus. No opening date has been announced. It will serve registered patients and caregivers only. The Peabody page has the patient list.
Read on October 23, 2026. The Commission publishes the shop list and the zoning tracker without an updated date and says to confirm details with the town.
The two public records above are reported as written and are not reconciled here. This is not a recommendation of the shop, medical advice, legal advice or a claim about any health condition.
