The Municipal Zoning Tracker, read October 31, 2026, gives Winchester adult-use "Ban in place", delivery "Delivery permitted" and social consumption "No zoning in place". The Commission describes a ban as a municipality that has enacted zoning ordinances or bylaws prohibiting all types of Marijuana Establishments.
Medford, which touches Winchester to the south, reads "Zoning in place; retail license cap", while Woburn and Stoneham read "Ban in place". The tracker calls itself a general guide and gives no bylaw text, so the Winchester town clerk is the source for what a street or a business may do.
The Census Bureau estimated 23,953 residents in Winchester on July 1, 2024 (an estimate, not the 2020 count). It covers 6.0 square miles of land and 0.3 of water.
Winchester Center and Wedgemere are the two MBTA commuter rail stations in Winchester, on the Lowell Line.
The medical card process is the same everywhere in Massachusetts: a certifying provider, a PIN by email, then registration with the Commission, which charges nothing.
From Winchester Town Hall on Mount Vernon Street to 25 Newbury Street the router gives about 12 miles and about 20 minutes by car in light traffic. Take Washington Street (Route 38) and Montvale Avenue to I-93, then I-95 and Route 128 north, and US 1 north on Broadway into Peabody, where it becomes Newbury Street.
The trip crosses the I-93, I-95 and Route 128 junctions in Woburn and Stoneham, which are slow at rush hour. Advanced Dispensary will serve registered medical patients and caregivers only.
Not on the Commission's list, and the tracker shows an adult-use ban.
Apothca in Arlington, about 3.2 miles from Town Hall in a straight line.
Advanced Cultivators (AC) grows in Lowell, Massachusetts, under cultivation license MC283314. Advanced Dispensary, its medical dispensary at 25 Newbury Street on US Route 1, is being renovated for registered patients and caregivers. Winchester patients reach it by the Route 128 interchange with US 1. No opening date has been announced; the patient list on the Peabody page hears first.

The Commission publishes the shop list and the tracker without an updated date and says to confirm details with the town.
Shop names, addresses and tracker entries are copied from public records. This page does not rank shops, give medical or legal advice, or make any claim about health.
