Dispensaries on the North Shore, by Town
Of the 23 towns on this page, 9 have at least one shop on the Cannabis Control Commission's Where to Buy list, and 4 towns here have a dispensary with an active Medical Marijuana Treatment Center license in the Commission's license file (read November 4, 2026): Danvers, Salem, Rowley, and Gloucester. The shop list also marks a Medical entry in Lynn, where the license file shows no active medical license; confirm those with the shop. The other 14 have no listed shop, and 8 of them have an adult-use "Ban in place" on the Commission's zoning tracker. Peabody is one of the 10 towns here with that entry. Advanced Dispensary, Peabody (in renovation), is being built as a medical dispensary and cannot serve patients yet.
The whole North Shore in one table
Towns run from the nearest to Peabody by drive time to the farthest. The shop count is the number of rows with that town on the Commission's list, copied October 23, 2026, so a business that holds two licenses at one address counts twice. The zoning column is the tracker's adult-use entry as the Commission wrote it, read November 4, 2026. The drive is from the municipal building to the Peabody site at 25 Newbury Street in light traffic.

Where the medical dispensaries are
A registered patient shows a Massachusetts medical registration and a valid ID at a medical dispensary. On the North Shore the dispensaries with an active medical license sit in Danvers, Salem, Rowley, and Gloucester. A patient in a town with none, such as Lynnfield, Saugus, Peabody, and Lynn, drives to the nearest of these; each town guide gives the nearest one from that town's municipal building.
What the zoning entries mean for a patient
On the tracker, "Ban in place" means the town has enacted zoning ordinances or bylaws prohibiting all types of Marijuana Establishments(CCC Zoning Tracker).
A medical dispensary holds a separate license from an adult-use shop, so a town with a tracker "Ban in place" entry can still have a medical dispensary. Danvers is one.
The tracker row for Danvers shows "Ban in place"(CCC Zoning Tracker).
The tracker calls itself a general guide and gives no bylaw text, so the town clerk is the source for what a business may do.
